A tree company that answers after the storm

We started because Cabarrus County's trees are aging out all at once — and too many were being taken down by whoever showed up with a chainsaw and no insurance.

The Concord Tree Co. crew in front of their bucket truck and chipper

Concord's canopy was planted in two big waves — the mill-village oaks of the 1920s through the '60s, and the subdivision pines and Bradford pears of the 1980s through the 2000s — and both are failing on schedule now. After every ice storm and every tropical remnant the out-of-state trucks roll in, charge whatever the panic will bear, and leave. In between, a lot of "tree service" in the county is a pickup, a chainsaw and a promise, with no arborist, no rigging plan and no insurance for the man in the tree.

Concord Tree Co. exists to be the other option. We're a locally operated tree company — not a franchise, not a lead-gen call center — that books and manages tree work across Cabarrus County and the north Charlotte metro. The crews that climb for us carry general liability and workers' compensation written for tree work, an ISA Certified Arborist looks at the hard calls, and every job comes with a written, itemized price before a saw starts.

What we stand on

Look first, then quote

Our arborist tells you whether the tree needs to come down, be pruned, be cabled, or be left alone. A lot of the time the honest answer costs you less than you feared.

Prune, don't top. Thin, don't butcher.

ANSI A300 pruning on shade trees and no crape murder on crape myrtles. It's better for the tree, better in an ice storm, and it keeps the oaks over the historic district alive for another generation.

Know the code, don't invent it

Most single-family yard trees in Concord involve no city permit — and we'll tell you that instead of charging you for paperwork that doesn't exist. When a tree is in the right-of-way, on a required buffer, in a historic district or inside Duke Energy's Lake Norman buffer, we say so and handle it properly.

Answer the phone — 24/7

Ice storms and Helene-style remnants don't keep office hours. Call at 2 AM with a pine through the roof and someone answers, takes the details and gets a crew moving. Crews work Monday through Saturday; quotes are usually scheduled within a day.
